Bogota's brisk climate is perfect for sitting down and chowing. Dining is a very social activity for Bogotanos. You will find that even the most high-end restaurants will seem reasonably priced compared to what you are used to in the United States and Europe. We have categorized all restaurants as cheap, affordable, and expensive. To give you a better idea of what that means, cheap meals (per person and excluding drinks) cost about $10.00 USD. Affordable places (per person and excluding drinks) cost about $20.00 USD. And, expensive restaurants (per person and excluding drinks) cost about $40.00 USD.

A wonderful Italian restaurant with a high ceilings and walls that are lined with wines. From meats to pastas, everything that the waiters carry looks delicious. I can't help myself from always ordering the Cesar salad with calamari and pesto soup.

Deliciously dangerous martinis and a great view of the T (people-watching). Great selection of liquors. Small but well-done food menu. We enjoy the smoked salmon with potato pancakes and the veggie burger. Can be hard to find a table outside after 5:30, but there is a spacious downstairs.

Colombia's answer to Wendy's, but better. There is El Corral and El Corral Gourmet. The regular El Corral is a typical fast food place, except, the burgers happen to be AMAZING. It is worth waiting the extra 12 minutes for your burger to be cooked "a la parrilla." Seriously, our vegetarian friend sneaks them every now and again. The "gourmet" version is elegant, has table service only, and a more extensive menu.

If you can't make it out to Chia, then you will still have a wonderful time and not realize what you're missing.
